More than half of them frequently switch weight loss products. 51.8% of people used a particular product for less than two months.

Experts point out that many people hope to see immediate results within one or two months when trying to lose weight. If they don't lose much weight, they immediately abandon the product and switch to another. In fact, rapid weight loss in a short period is detrimental to health. Surveys show that 610 respondents had used over 50 different weight loss products, with the most frequently used product accounting for less than 20% of their usage. 10% couldn't even remember which brands they had used. Regarding the mechanisms of action of the weight loss products they had used, 4-5% knew it was fat burning; 20% believed it was due to gastrointestinal effects; less than 15% knew it was to reduce fat absorption or suppress appetite; and 41.7% were completely unaware of how the supplements they used worked. Experts point out that blindly using weight loss products without understanding their mechanisms of action is dangerous.

4. There is no scientific weight loss plan.

46% of respondents believed that weight loss was a personal matter and wouldn't consider seeking medical help to develop a weight loss plan. Of these, 56% believed they could manage it entirely on their own. Weight loss is a process of treating an underlying condition; for the sake of health, one should consult a weight loss clinic at a major hospital and proceed under the guidance of a doctor. Experts say that obesity is not only an aesthetic issue but also a chronic disease. Treating obesity is the responsibility of doctors and must be done under their guidance. Some dieters blindly use weight loss products, which is very dangerous and can sometimes lead to unexpected side effects.

Weight loss is a scientific matter, a form of disease treatment. Whether or not one should lose weight depends on quantifiable metrics; it cannot be done arbitrarily.
