These memories may originate from childhood or other points in life. People may not be aware that these memories are "hidden" in the subconscious, and therefore remain unresolved. When one imagines returning to the past, those experiences can be understood and resolved. By doing so, one can find ways to close off past experiences and thus eliminate the need to use food to comfort "hidden" emotions. Some people may experience a memory they believe is part of their past life. Whether we believe it or not, such memories can heal our emotional wounds. It doesn't matter if these memories are merely metaphors created by the brain in a semi-conscious state.
In other words, if the thoughts, feelings, or images people perceive can help them find the "answers" to their problems and help them recover from them, then they are beneficial tools for communication between the mind, body, and soul. There are many ways to use the brain and imagination to achieve health, but the results vary from person to person, so just adhere to the truth that "whatever works is fine." Whether using visual boards, guided imagery or guided meditation, or regression techniques, etc., as long as it works, people can use their imagination to improve their lives. Our imagination can help us find inner answers, and thus, we can regain balance and make our lives better.

What events in the past have made you want to eat? Does this always happen at a specific time, and if so, why? Is it when you are alone? Are you suppressing an unresolved emotion? Letting go of what's bothering you can also help you lose weight and eat more normally.
